"I started playing hockey when I was six months old,
as the National Inquirer will attest.
After a childhood as an international chess champion,
I spent my teenage years skating for the Toronto
Maple Leaves, the grammatically correct girls
franchise. A brief stint as a Versace model made me
realize that I was more than a pretty face so I
signed with the Montreal Canadiens. Like many girls
in those days, I had to disguise my gender and name,
my days as Guy LaFleur began. During my NHL career, I
won the Lady Byng and Con Smythe trophies and led my
team to 6 consecutive Stanley Cup championships.
Because of my dual citizenship, I played on both the
Canadian and U.S. National women's Olympic teams, and
now own two gold medals. Now I live the quiet life as
a spokesathlete for Nike, Burger King and Buick and
divide my time between homes in Telluride, Paris and
Tuscany and a 14,000 sq. ft. pied-a-terre in New York
City."
