"In 1992, I began my love of the sport as a mom of two sons who play
competitive hockey. The summer
before I turned 40, I saw a sign at Ice Land advertising a Girls 13 and
Over League and decided to give hockey a try even though I had never
skated! My sons will probably say I still can't skate but I have
fun trying!
Did you know that fellow Queenie, Bev Cream and I were on the same
Girls team each summer? We joined QHC after Jennie Cook scouted
us at an Adult Skills Clinic in 1999 (the inaugural year). Love
skating with Queenston because we are old enough to drink beer!
